Revelation 19 - Babylon's song, Wedding of the Lamb, Beast and Prophet are conquered - Sermon Wilfred

Babylon's song after the Fall of Babylon

The verses 1 to 5 speak for themselves. A loud voice speaks about the true and just judgment of God about Babylon. The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures we know from Revelation 4.

The wedding of the Lamb

Wedding of the Lamb

We have no indication given in the Bible when this wedding will take place. The information about the wedding is given after the destruction of Babylon and before the Second Coming of Christ on earth. It is after the Tribunal of the Christians in Heaven? But taken the Jews marriage feast, the actual marriage takes place after the seven days of the marriage feast. So compare this that the Church is taken up at the beginning of the seven years of Great Tribulation, and the destruction of Babylon at the END of the seven years of Great Tribulation, then the wedding of Jesus Christ with His Bride, the Church takes place after this seven years, similar to the seven days of the Jewish marriage feast.
Who will participate in this wedding?
Clearly those Christians who are taken up at the Rapture of the Church, because this wedding is in Heaven. We need to look to Matthew 25 with the wise and foolish virgins. The foolish virgins were NOT ready, and for them the wedding door was closed. They were NOT taken up into Heaven at the Rapture of the Church.
There is also the explanation of Matthew 22 the parable of the invitation to the wedding. The persons who were occupied with their own businesses. Or put it simple the Christians who were invited to the wedding, but they were occupied with the worldly things. I would like to cite an article from a website.

The wedding of the Lamb is one of the greatest events in the Bible. But who is the bride of Jesus?
Who will be the bride of Jesus? The bride is the Church of Christ.
The church consists of all people who are on their way to become completely free from all sin, as Jesus is. They have started on the path that will lead them to divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). One may have come further down the road than another. Some may have just started on that road. But everyone who follows this path is a member of Christ's body. They are preparing to be the bride of Christ. They are getting ready. They love Jesus. They imitate Him. They have a great desire to be with their Lord and Master. They are committed to serving Jesus with all their heart, soul, and being. They are cleansed by Jesus; they will be a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle. So they are holy (Ephesians 5:25-27). The bride of Christ is getting ready for Him. She uses every second on this earth to get ready for her Bridegroom Jesus. Her fine linen is not given to her at the wedding feast, but it is something she made herself by walking in righteousness while here on earth.
Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
The bride is the Church, but NOT everyone belongs to this group. Many invitations are sent out, but few choose to answer them. The Bride will only be a small group, but this is not because only a few invitations have been sent. It is because few people choose to heed the invitation. To be part of the Bride you must answer the calling and follow Jesus in the way He Himself went. Comment Author: Only few are willing to live under the control of the Holy Spirit and live under and do the commandments of God. This time on earth is an engagement time for Jesus and His Bride. They have an intense love for each other and long to be united. The Bride wants to do absolutely everything, she wants to pay for everything to be worthy of Him and to be with Him. "I want to serve God with all my heart". The way to go next is described in Colossians 3:1-17. The mind of the Bride is focused on that which is above. The Bride is patient, humble, long-suffering, and does everything in the name of the Lord Jesus. The bride is so in love that she will pay any price to discard all sin, anything that does not suit Christ. She rejects all such thoughts and kills them (Colossians 3:5). Nothing less than perfection is accepted. Any thought that is not pleasing to Christ is immediately killed! Sin is not an option for her!

The Church is the Bride of Christ?

Is not Israel the Bride? No, to me Israel is the Bride of God the Father. How can the Church, which is the body of the Lord, be His wife at the same time? In Ephesians 5:23-32 we see how the apostle sees in the marriage of man and woman a mystery that points to the marriage of the Lamb. The apostle points back to creation. The Lord God built out of the rib of Adam, his wife Eve. From his own body! Likewise, the Church is built from the body of the Lord. As a deep sleep came over Adam, so our Lord was in the grave for three days. When Eve is introduced to Adam, there is a wonderfully enthusiastic cry from Adam. Soon, when the Wedding of the Lamb is there, the Lord will rejoice with joy and gladness over His Bbride, built of His body. But the Church has to be the wise virgins, actively seeking and investigating like Peter and Nathanael (John 1:47-51), and concentrate on listening to God's voice. When we hear that someone is preaching God's Word, we must be sure that the sayings are of the Holy Spirit.

Verse 9 Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. All human beings are invited to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. In Matthew 22 the king has sent his servants to invited the persons. But all had excuses that they bought a house, a farm or cattle. Then the king ordered to go out on the streets. It is like Christians, they are invited to the Rapture of the Church, to Heaven, to the marriage feast of the Lamb, BUT they are occupied with worldly things (= Matthew 22 the house, the farm, the cattle) and are NOT busy with the Heavenly things of Bible reading, prayer, proclaiming the gospel, keeping the commandments of God. They are the foolish virgins who find the wedding door closed and left behind on earth.

Verse 10 the angel forbids to worship him, with the word that it is only allowed to worship God. No gospel given by an angel is allowed to be accepted, only the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy is The Word of God (verse 13).

Jesus goes to battle with His Bride

Jesus on the Horse

The one who sits on the white horse is Jesus, He has married His Bride who follows Him in white and pure linen on white horses. They have dipped their robes in the blood, shed by Jesus on the cross. They are the army who followed their Bridegroom to smite the nations (at Armageddon) and pour out the wrath of God upon their sins and to reign with Jesus on earth in His 1000-years of Kingdom.

BirdsVerse 18 The angel announces to eat the flesh of persons (captains, mighty men, riders, horses, free and slave) who will fall in the coming battle of Armageddon (verse 18, Rev. 16:16), all their dead bodies are the great supper of God to the birds.
Verse 19 The Beast and the kings gather their armies to fight against the Bridegroom and the Bride sitting upon their horses.
Verses 20 and 21 The Beast and the false prophet are captured and thrown alive into the lake of fire. Those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image were slain by the sword and all the birds were gorged with their flesh. And no doubt their judgment is in Revelation 20:11-15 the lake of fire.
